In Year 9 pupils commence the majority of their GCSE courses, with some optional GCSE courses starting in Year 10. The emphasis on breadth, balance and academic challenge continue in the Upper School Curriculum, building on the pupils' strong Lower School foundation.
Pupils study the following core GCSE curriculum:

- English
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Physics
- French
- Divinity
- Geography
- History
Pupils also have classes in ICT and Classics (either Latin or Classical Civilisation).
Additionally, the following optional GCSE courses are available. Year 10 pupils will normally select two subjects.
