Welcome to Grindon Hall Christian School.

Our all-age (5-18) school is formerly an independent school which converted to become a state-funded free school in September 2012.  In line with academies, free schools are publicly funded though with the independence to develop bespoke governance arrangements to support the work of the school and to provide unique curricular opportunities to meet the needs of children and young people of all abilities.

Our aim for the school is to provide excellence in all that we do……the academic performance of our children and young people, the quality of our overall provision and our contribution to the local community.  The school has strong values and a Christian ethos that enriches the educational experience for our children and young people.  Through this, we can take account of individual needs, aspirations and talents and create a personal learning pathway for every pupil.  In turn, this personalised approach enables each learner to reach the highest possible level of individual achievement through a customised curriculum and the acquisition of a range of learning skills and knowledge.  Overall, we want our children and young people to learn, grow and prosper and that they receive the very best education, realise their full potential and are prepared to become responsible and successful citizens.
